EXPO 2020: DUBAI BID FILMS
For countries and companies, the World Expos are like an Olympic Games or a World Cup.
And there is similarly fierce competition to host them.
For the 2020 Expo bidding process, Dubai brought in Big Features to devise and shoot their main bid films. Spitfire wrote three campaign films, with the brief of educating, persuading and charming a global voting panel.
Dubai won the bid, beating off competition from Russia, Brazil and Turkey. Its 2020 Expo is expected to attract around 25 million visitors over six months.
The bid campaign was launched with “Ali’s Film”, which also won Gold at the IVCA.
